Precut strip
It is a cellular EPDM rubber strip, cut to a specific dimension out of a block and given a fiberglass reinforced adhesive backing.
The strip is mainly used as a filler in silicone top-sealed windows but can also be used as a sealing strip in metal cupboards for example.
This product is normally supplied on a reel with reel ends and a cardboard core.
Extruded cellular rubber strip
It is an EPDM rubber strip extruded and vulcanised through a salt bath with a, thereafter, applied fiberglass reinforced adhesive backing. The vulcanisation of the EPDM compound gives the profile its soft and cellular structure.
The strip is mainly used in windows, either for dry glazing of insulating glass or as draught excluder in older frames.
This product is normally supplied on a reel with reel ends and a cardboard core but is also available in smaller (AA-10 of 2 x 5 meters for example) or larger (J-12 of 12 x 150 meters for example) packagings.
Butyl
It is a soft and self-adhesive strip in butyl rubber, extruded to the desired dimension and that adheres to most materials.
This strip has many possible applications and can be used in many different industries. Some products are supplied with an aluminium foil, a non woven paper, a polypropylene reinforcement or an adhesive backing.
This product is supplied on a roll with a carton inner core and for some products also with reel ends.
