The company KISO A/S was founded in 1971, and has been located on the same premises ever since. At first we mainly produced precut cellular rubber (our current 05-filler). In the following years we introduced sealants, extruded EPDM profiles and other products. |

However, the recession in 1982 lead to a reduction in the range to what is still today KISO’s main production: Self-adhesive EPDM cellular rubber sealing strips. In 1994 and again in 1999, production was expanded substantially to cover the increasing demand.
In 1985 – 1986, production of butyl strips began. Right from the start the butyl products were a success, and today they constitute more than 40% of KISO’s production.
In 2004, the mixing department was expanded, and in 2007 a third, wider extrusion line was added. |
There is continuous, strict control during the entire manufacturing process to ensure that all products live up to our substantial quality requirements. The quality control is carried out in our own laboratory, by using the exact same techniques as the approved European supervisory bodies.
Sales are concentrated in Europe, i.e. besides Scandinavia, the largest export markets are France, Switzerland, England and Germany.
Our customers are typically from various industry groups, e.g. window manufacturers, caravan manufacturers as well as other industries primarily in the construction industry. Furthermore, we also sell to major distributors.
Since 1984, KISO A/S has had a subsidiary, KISO SA, which is located in Switzerland and mainly functions as a distributor of KISO’s sealing strips to Switzerland and France.
